Meet the IMM Team
Leisa Hills, RN, CSHP, CAPPM
Executive Director
Leisa started her career with VEI in 1991 as an office RN and became executive director for IMM in 2006. Previously, she served as VEI/IMM director of corporate quality resources. Leisa also has worked as IMM director of clinical and regulatory services, IMM clinical consultant, safety officer, OSHA compliance RN for employee health in the health and safety department, triage RN for Internal Medicine Associates, CLIA consultant, and office RN for Northpoint Pediatrics. In addition, she served as staff nurse for Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, Australia.
Leisa provides both strategic and operational direction to IMM in addition to playing a significant role in business development. She leads the IMM team as they provide all aspects of practice start-up, practice management and consulting. She participates in physician relations and assists physicians with integration into Community Health Network as well as handling physician contracts and overseeing pro-forma and budget preparation for new clients.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University Southern Queensland in Australia. Leisa is a Registered Nurse, a Certified Healthcare Safety Professional, and a Certified Administrator in Physician Practice Management through the American Academy of Practice Management. She is a member of the Lacy Leadership Association of Indianapolis and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Management.
Leisa has two teenage sons and in her free time enjoys gardening, cooking and traveling.
David Mooney, C.P.A., M.B.A.
Senior Director, Finance
Since initially joining VEI in 1996, David has held various financial and operational roles within VEI and Community Health Network. David has over 20 years of financial, operational and marketing experience within the health care industry. Prior to 1996, David was an auditor for a public accounting firm and passed the CPA examination. In addition to his financial background, David has held various sales and marketing positions within the pharmaceutical industry.
In his role for VEI, David assists physician clients and IMM with financial support to optimize revenue, productivity and performance.
David holds both a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in business administration from Butler University, and he is a Certified Public Accountant.
During his leisure time, he enjoys jogging, biking and spending time with family and friends. David also volunteers his time with Geared for Health, a local program that donates sports equipment to Indianapolis youth in need.
Sue Gabriel
Administrative Support
Sue provides support to the IMM team, account managers, the clinical regulatory team, and the billing and coding team. In this role, she is a liaison with clients and handles general office support including Web and audio conferences scheduling, registration and materials; special project work coordination; document development; managed care plan fees requests; patient satisfaction survey project coordinator; and new employee orientation along with many other duties.
She joined VEI in August 2008 with more than 25 years of experience in administrative roles.
Sue is originally from Northern California, and transferred to Indiana in 1995, via Houston, Texas through her husband's job. Sue enjoys spending time with her husband of close to 20 years, reading, gardening and spending time with friends, and is a fan of tennis and the NFL. They have one grown daughter who currently resides in Houston.
